Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with TOMA

At TOMA, we are incredibly proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month—a time to honor the vibrant contributions of the Hispanic community and recognize the impact of our culture on every aspect of American life. For us, this celebration goes beyond food; it’s about the stories, flavors, and traditions that shape who we are.

As a Latin-owned brand, TOMA is rooted in our Colombian heritage, driven by Sofia and Manolo. Both Colombian-born, Sofia and Manolo have infused TOMA with the essence of their homeland. This is not only a business for us, but a tribute to the rich culture that has shaped our lives.

Sofia Vergara’s journey is one of inspiration. From being born and raised in Barranquilla, Colombia, to becoming a household name, she has proudly carried her heritage with her every step of the way. As the first Latina ever nominated for an Emmy in the Lead Actress in a Limited Series category, Sofia has made history. Her accomplishments are a testament to her resilience and her dedication to representing her culture in every facet of her career. Her son Manolo carries the torch in his career as the Chief Concept Officer at TOMA, where he ensures the food, brand and operations are aligned with our mission of bringing a Taste of Latin America to all.

At TOMA, we embody that same passion and pride. We have created something special—a brand that not only delivers incredible flavors but celebrates who we are as Latinos. Our empanadas, croquetas, and salsas are more than food; they are a bridge to our roots and a way of sharing a piece of Colombia with everyone.

As we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, we are reminded that each day is an opportunity to celebrate our community and culture. We honor those who came before us, and we uplift each other in every space we occupy.

This month, we encourage you to embrace the diversity and richness of the Hispanic community, from our food to our stories, because at TOMA, every day is worth celebrating.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month from all of us at TOMA!
